Warrington Youth Club Is based at the Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Peace Centre, in Warrington. Warrington Youth Club deliver a range of services to children and young people aged 7 – 25 years.
Warrington Youth Club is looking to employ a Project Coordinator for their innovative befriending project entitled ‘Buddy Up Project’.
Buddy Up Project Co-Coordinator
As the Buddy Up Project Coordinator the ideal candidate will play a vital role in the management; development and delivery of an established befriending project entitled ‘Buddy Up.’ This project aims to increase social opportunities for disabled young people from Warrington by identifying their interests and matching them with young volunteers or adult volunteers who will support them in engaging with existing services and social activities.
The ideal candidate will have a creative approach to their work, be focused yet flexible, have excellent organisational skills and be an effective communicator with strong administrative skills. They will be experienced in managing and motivating teams of volunteers and in designing, promoting and co-ordinating services for young people.
The candidate will have experience of supporting, training and developing young and adult volunteers. Furthermore they will have experience of working with disabled children and young people and their families. They will have experience of working in partnership with multi agencies including Social Services, Family Support and Schools.
The Project Coordinator will be required to work as part of a team to promote the best outcomes for all children and young people involved in the project.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of safeguarding children and young people and supporting families with complex issues. This project is funded through BBC Children in Need until August 2016.
Hours of work: 37.5hr Per Week, flexible including evenings and weekends where required.
Salary: £18,000- £23,000 depending on experience
