The Peace Centre Community Open Day – 16th March

On Saturday 16th March 2013 following the commemoration service at Bridge Street in the town centre; we will open the doors of the Peace Centre to invite everyone from Warrington and beyond to visit this remarkable building and find out more about the unique work that the centre and Foundation carries out to create a more peaceful world.

The centre, established in memory of Tim and Johnathan, will be fully open to view all the facilities and there will be activities for all the family and an opportunity to come together to reflect and also ‘celebrate’ the positive approach that Warrington and the Foundation for Peace is making to promote peace and reconciliation.  Activities will include crafts, face painting, art, poetry, readings, music and building tours and talks plus baking and lots to eat and drink.

Entry is free and everybody is welcome but, as capacity is limited, entrance is by ticket and you should register on this site to guarantee your place.

Entrance is strictly by FREE registration ticket only and we require an e-mail address for door security due to controlled capacity.

Please note the town centre commemoration event at Bridge Street is expected to finish at 12:45.  The Peace Centre will open 14:00.

Parking is available at the Peace Centre and an overflow car park is available if required.  The Peace Centre is the near the junction of the A57 and Cromwell Drive and on arrival our parking stewards will direct you.  If you have a disability then please let our stewards know so they can direct you to a suitable parking space.  Local public transport to and from the main bus station is operating – contact Network Warrington for details. Council guests please note a bus service will transport you to and from the Pyramid Arts Centre and detials will be notified to you direct.

The centre is accessible to wheelchairs but if any special arrangements are needed please contact us in advance.
