This programme will explore the many inequalities that exist between the developed and developing countries and the impact that this has on conflict on a local, national and international level.

At the end of the programme participants will be able to:

  • Discuss various inequalities that exist between the developed and developing world
  • Explore the historical, political and economic contexts for such inequalities
  • Identify some of the most common causes of conflict within and between countries
  • Name some human rights/needs that are denied to people and examine the causes of these human rights violations
