Resolution Training Courses 2013

April 1, 2013 | Nick Taylor

We are pleased to announce that two great new courses are to be held at the Peace Centre in Warrington – places are strictly limited, so book now to ensure a space and to be invoiced in this financial year!

18th April: Holding Difficult Conversations: working with the Prevent Agenda (9am – 4.30pm)

This training day will equip professionals to feel more confident and skilled in broaching sensitive and difficult issues such as; race, religion, disability, culture, gender etc without putting their foot in it or causing unnecessary distress. The day will develop your understanding of the impact of community divisions, teach problem solving skills and provide you with tools to engage in sensitive and challenging conversations. Perfect for all staff tackling prejudice and discrimination and who are tasked with ‘preventing violent extremism’. Previous course participants have included: Community Engagement Officers, Prison staff, Probation Officers, Social Workers, Youth Workers, Teachers and University staff.

11th July Working With Conflict (9am – 4.30pm)

The workshop is for any professional working in an environment where they experience situations of conflict; whether that is with clients or within the staff team. The day will explore conflict resolution techniques – giving you practical usable tools and techniques for your workplace. In addition, the workshop provides theoretical models for understanding conflict and mediation as well as a space to reflect on your own understanding of conflict and to share good practice with other course participants

“That was the best learning experience I have had in ages, it’s really made me see conflicts in a totally different way”

““It was great not to be bombarded with Powerpoint! We had loads of time to try things out instead. The day has been full of ‘aha’! moments for me – I just hadn’t realised the impact I can have in a conflict situation”

All of our training is fully participatory and delivered by highly experienced trainers and facilitators.

Our courses are CPD accredited and are worth 6 CPD units. Any questions about content or bookings, please contact us, we’re very happy to answer questions or have a chat.

Courses cost £95 per person and group discounts apply. Click here to book
