Help the Foundation for Peace raise vital funds

Boxing Day, is a holiday traditionally celebrated the day following Christmas Day. Its origins are hard to track but the day is thought to be named because of the ‘Christmas/Alms box’ that was often used to collect for those in need. It is a great day for giving and imagine if you could do so without it costing you a penny!

Boxing Day is a bank holiday that is the busiest shopping day of the year, signalling the start of the sales at the shops and with huge amounts of people staying at home to do their shopping online .

This year, the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, is launching an amazing fund raising initiative that will not cost you a penny but could raise huge funds for our charity.

How does it work?

If you plan to do any online shopping now or in the future, the retailer will make a donation to the Foundation every time you shop. It is easy to set up…

You register your e-mail address and a password and select the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace as the cause you want to support. It’s free – there are no fees or hidden costs.

Next time you shop instead of going direct to the retailer (e.g. Amazon, Play, John Lewis, Argos etc) you go to this website www.easyfundraising.org.uk then search or type in the name of the retailer and you will automatically be redirected to their site but when you purchase they will send us a donation.  You only pay what you would do normally.

Easy Fund Raising

So let’s say you want to buy some shoes from John Lewis. Instead of going direct to their website, you go to the Easy Fund Raising website first. You then click through to the retailer’s website and we send them a message so they know they need to make a donation on anything you purchase.

You don’t pay anything extra – the price you pay is the same as if you went directly to the retailer.

As a thank you for shopping, the retailer provides a donation for you to give to the Foundation for Peace and it is all done automatically.

For the retailers, it’s a bit like offering a discount – it makes their customers happy, plus they get to feel good about helping good causes in the UK.

Virtually every retailer you will ever need is included from: Amazon to John Lewis, from M&S to Argos and you can even buy travel such as train tickets through thetrainline.com. Altogether 2,700 retailers are registered and will donate 1% to 2.5% on average of every penny you spend. So spend £10 then we get 10p to 25p, spend £100 we get £1 to £2.50.

You don’t even need to online shop – some retailers will even give us a donation if you take a survey or register.

Online shopping

If all of our supporters agreed to do their online shopping this way it could raises significant funds for our vital work. All you have to do is take five minutes tor register and then always online shop by going through the easyfundraising.org.uk website.

So, enjoy Boxing Day, and from the comfort of your home please use your online shopping to raise funds for the Foundation for Peace.
