Peace One Day – Peace Lecture 2013

September 20, 2013 | Nick Taylor

Peace One Day

The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball for Peace are supporting Peace One Day with the launch of a remarkable film.

In 1993 the Irish Republican Army (IRA) planted two bombs in a shopping street in Warrington, Cheshire, England and without warning detonated.  They killed 12-year-old Tim Parry and three-year-old Johnathan Ball, injured 54 and affected many others.

Twenty years later the parents of Tim Parry took the brave and courageous decision to invite Martin McGuinness, one of the ex-leaders of the IRA to deliver a peace lecture in the town they bombed.

They truly answered the question WHO WILL YOU MAKE PEACE WITH?

On Peace Day 21 September we release the film of the lecture to the world. The Peace Lecture is truly historic and was attended by 160 people.  Now we make it available to everybody and hope that you will be inspired to answer the question who will you make peace with?
