July 20, 2016 | Nick Taylor
Local Martial Arts School goes an extra mile to raise money for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.
Matt Fiddes from the Martial Arts School and his Junior Instructor team took part in a charity fun day to raise funds for the local Peace Centre.
When presenting the cheque Master Steve Jones said, “The JCIT team took part in a 3 hour kickathon as well as organising a tombola and cake stand. Our aim within the schools is to train and develop as many young people into Leaders as possible. I would like to thank all the team who took part and made the day so special. They did themselves and their parents proud and helped to raise £500.00”.
Wendy Parry said: I would like to thank Steve and his team for organising the fundraising event in aid of the Peace Centre. The Martial Arts School are a regular user of the Peace Centre and we were delighted when they said they wanted to raise money for us. All the money raised from external bookings allows us to keep the doors open for other groups & organisations like the JCIT team”.
