Humanitarian Assistance in Critical Incidents National Conference 2014

March 23, 2014 | Nick Taylor

The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace invites you to the Humanitarian Assistance in Critical Incidents National Conference to be held on Friday 4th April 2014 at White & Case LLP in the city of London (offices pictured).

The conference will explore the ‘humanitarian’ impact on casualties, survivors and bereaved families in the immediate, medium and longer term following a critical incident.

The event will also consider the impact on those who respond to emergencies and the duty of care of employers in the aftermath.

It will also look at accountability and responsibility for providing an effective humanitarian assistance response.

The event is aimed at senior managers and policy makers involved in the response to emergencies, including those in Government, Category 1 and 2 responders, voluntary sector agencies and others involved in providing aftercare for people affected in major incidents.

The impact of critical incidents is far reaching for the people who are affected by them and this conference will feature unique contributions from speakers who have survived and impacted major incidents such as acts of terrorism.  Speaker biographies to follow.

The Foundation for Peace is presenting this conference in London thanks to the support of White & Case LLP in their conference suite at 5 Old Broad Street, London, EC2N 1DW.  The event is also supported by Surrey County Council.

The cost is £99 per person, including VAT and refreshments – contact jo.dover@foundation4peace.org – +44 (0) 1925 581240
