The Foundation’s short courses are intensive, one day workshops which have been designed and developed over time to provide a practical and engaging introduction to many key topics relating to conflict and conflict resolution. Aimed at children and young people of all ages, the Foundation prides itself on the quality of our provision which stems from innovative, creative and effective teaching methods which focus on experiential learning.
Each course fulfills specific objectives although the purpose of the Foundation for Peace and the teaching and learning methodologies used during the short courses ensures that all courses fulfil many of the ‘Range and Content’, and ‘Curriculum Opportunities’ of the Citizenship curriculum. Some courses can also be used to evidence the promotion of pupil’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
