Give Yourself Peace of Mind – Wednesday 15th January 2014
January 8, 2014 | admin
It is nearly 21 years since the loss of two young lives. 12-year-old Tim Parry and three-year-old Johnathan Ball were tragically killed as a direct result of the IRA’s bombing of Warrington in March 1993.
As we all know, death and bereavement is an emotive subject that many of us don’t like to think about, so put off for another day. It is for this reason that we have organised a very special event being held at the Peace Centre which will help us to continue our work.
As a unique charity that works nationally and internationally with those affected by conflict, terrorism and political violence, on Wednesday 15th January 2014, the Foundation will be hosting a “Peace of Mind Day” where we have invited legal representation from Accord Legal Services (www.accordwills.co.uk). They will be at the Peace Centre to help and advise on a wide range of legal issues that, although are extremely important, are usually put off for another day.
Topics under discussion
- Wills and Probate
- Help to avoid losing your family home to pay for care fees (see link http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2232548)
- Investment advice and Tax planning
- Life Insurance
- Retirement Planning
- Protect your loved one’s inheritance
- Lasting Power of Attorney (see link http://www.accordlegalservices.co.uk/legal-services-lasting-power-of-attorney/index.php)
This is a great opportunity for you to discuss these important and emotive subjects in complete confidence. Furthermore, taking care of your family’s future by not leaving things to chance is a great New Year’s resolution and is one that can give yourself peace of mind!
It is impossible to stress how important legacy income can be to the Foundation for Peace. We are the only UK charity which provides such a unique range of services for those affected by conflict, terrorism and political violence but every year we need to raise more than £600,000 to continue with our important work. It is the support and generosity of our supporters that keeps us going and legacy income can make a significant difference to the positive impact we have on people’s lives.
