Jonathan Levy, who works for the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace features in the Channel 4 series, Embarrassing Bodies, to raise awareness of a disability he has called dyspraxia.
Jonathan is not actually embarrassed about his body but despite the best efforts of the Dyspraxia Foundation, of which he is a trustee, dyspraxia receives very little media coverage. There is limited understanding of it, unlike autism and dyslexia which it relates to.
Each week as part of the Channel 4 series, a two minute film is shown about a condition and last night Jonathan was featured talking about his dyspraxia. was broadcast.
The response on social media has been very positive and the Dyspraxia Foundation helpline has received far more calls than usual. Several people had never heard of dyspraxia before but are now certain that they have it.
