This programme will provide participants with an overview of the history of the ‘War on Terror’ examining the people, events, actions and beliefs that have shaped this conflict.

At the end of the programme participants will be able to:

  • Identify groups/organisations/countries involved in the ‘War on Terror’
  • Explain the various events that have shaped this conflict
  • Describe the motivations, interests and aims of various groups/states involved in the conflict
  • Discuss the impact of the ‘War on Terror’ on individuals, groups and young people within Britain
