Circle – A Mayoral Initiative

May 26, 2016 | Nick Taylor

Later today, the newly inaugurated Mayor of Warrington, Cllr. Faisal Rashid, will be hosting a dinner to launch his Mayoral charity appeal in support of four Warrington based charities including the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.  The first fund raising initiative to support the charities is be launched by the Mayor and is called ‘Circle’.

The Vision: ‘To turn Warrington into an entrepreneurs’ hub that creates unique business opportunities for the people to become economically stronger in a more active community’.

Circle is a support network for Warrington businesses: a consortium to endure beyond Councillor Rashid’s term of office and to carry Warrington to a stronger future. It is an opportunity for businesses in our town to collaborate and to steer towards prosperity and success.

Circle has three basic objectives:

Economic development – supporting and promoting local businesses, helping young entrepreneurs, attracting investment and creating jobs.

Community cohesion through culture and sport – year-round cultural events, bringing cultures together and creating cultural awareness and promoting health and well-being;

To create a socially active community through supporting local charities – the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation is one of four local charities selected by the mayor to receive backing from this initiative.

Two levels of membership are available: Platinum, for those donating £500 or more, and Gold, requiring a minimum donation of £300. Membership lasts for a period of one year and is granted at the discretion of the mayor. All membership fees will go to the four charities.

As with any community initiative, success will be dependent upon the commitment and foresight of those involved. We, at the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, are honoured to be selected as one of the mayor’s primary charities and to be involved in this fantastic opportunity for our town.

The Peace Centre is the venue of choice for many local businesses, and we look forward to working with everyone involved in this initiative. Although close to town centre, the Peace Centre stands as an oasis, offering privacy and absolute confidentiality for sensitive discussions, or a rousing setting for motivational speeches and team building. Our facilities are of the highest of standard and our catering has been nominated for a Warrington Business Award: Hospitality Provider of the Year.

We are equipped for almost any type of event and our prices are extremely competitive. Enquiries to: or telephone 01925 581234 – we would love to help.
