Challenge yourself for charity in the Warrington 5k
May 19, 2014 | Nick Taylor
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace is encouraging people to support its vital work by taking part in the Warrington 5k.
Held on Sunday 15 June on an enclosed route at Victoria Park, this exciting new event, organised by Legacy Event Series, is open to all and entry costs just £10, with all money raised from sponsorship going straight to the charity.
Participants can walk the route or jog the course, the majority of which can be viewed from the grand stand or the children’s play area in the park, so this can be a great day out for participants and spectators alike.
The Foundation’s Jonathan Levy said: “This is a really good opportunity to have fun and raise money for charity at the same time. By taking part in aid of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, participants will be supporting the Peace Centre and the help and services we provide to many people including victims of terrorism, armed services veterans and vulnerable young people.
“We are the only UK charity which provides such a unique range of services for those affected by violent conflict, based here in Warrington. It is the support and generosity of our supporters that keeps us going and money raised from the Warrington 5k can help us make a significant difference to the positive impact we have on people’s lives.”
