Colin Parry, Co-Founder of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace said: “The Boston Marathon bombings are the heartless and brutal acts of a person or persons as yet unknown. What we do know about them however, is that whatever their motives, they have only succeeded in making the American public even more steadfast in their determination not to be cowed by such barbaric acts.

“For the deaths to include an eight year old boy is particularly tragic because he had his whole life in front of him…all those hopes and dreams shattered by evil, just as it was with Tim and Johnathan here in Warrington 20 years ago.

“The young boy’s parents and all of the families of those killed and injured, will be feeling lost and heartbroken right now, trying to understand how such a terrible deed could visit their families.

“Wendy and I feel deeply for them and know their lives will never be the same again, but though they will not know it for a long time yet, they will cherish the lost ones and they may find it in themselves to do something positive in their names…I hope they do as they draw on the strength of their close family and friends and  the sympathy of millions of strangers worldwide.”
