In the final programme of Diarmaid Ferriter’s four-part series, broadcast on BBC Radio 4, looking at the last hundred years of Anglo-Irish history, the story covers the darkest days of the sectarian violence in Northern Ireland through to the Good Friday peace process.
Diarmaid speaks to several of those involved in that process including former Prime Minister, and our Patron, Sir John Major, who talks about how the Warrington Bombing nearly stopped the process. The Foundation for Peace and its creation in memory of Tim and Johnathan is mentioned.
