This programme will examine the role of children and young people in conflict on a local, national and international level identifying similarities and differences in the experiences of children in various countries.

At the end of this programme participants will be able to:

  • Describe the experiences of children involved in conflict and how they are affected by it
  • Identify reasons why children become involved in conflict
  • Discuss the view of the role of children as victims and/or perpetrators
  • Make connections between children and conflict in other countries and their own experiences of conflict
